Christian Meyer zu Natrup

Managing Partner

Christian is the founder and managing director of MzN International. Christian is a governance reform and organisational change expert, specialising in digital transformation and making non-profit organisations financially sustainable. At MzN International, he leads our consulting and training work across 20 countries. Christian holds a postgraduate degree in international relations and is a qualified chartered accountant with more than 10 years of experience working in emerging economies and fragile contexts. He continues with research in areas relating to development and aid. In 2015, together with Dr. Adrian Flint from the University of Bristol, Christian developed the concept of beneficiary-led aid.

Florian Kemmerich

Managing Partner

Florian Kemmerich is a seasoned expert in impact investing, capital advisory, and innovative finance solutions. With over two decades of experience, Florian has a proven track record in driving growth, structuring high-impact finance strategies, and scaling businesses globally. His expertise spans leadership roles in impact investing and the healthcare sector, with a particular focus on blended finance, growth-stage investments, and capital mobilization to drive sustainable outcomes.Prior to joining Human Planet, Florian held key leadership positions where he successfully mobilized capital to address some of the world’s most pressing challenges. His deep understanding of global markets and commitment to leveraging finance as a tool for positive change aligns with Human Planet’s mission to scale impact through collaboration between the private, public, and not-for-profit sectors.

Juliette Averseng

Associate Partner

Juliette holds a Master Degree in Management from HEC Business School in Paris and spent 6 months at the Indian Institute of Management in Bangalore.​

She since built 3 years of experience in social business and sustainable development consulting, in New Delhi and Paris, working both for social entrepreneurs and large corporations.

Juliette joined Human Planet formerly KOIS in 2018 and has been working on developing innovative finance mechanisms on topics such as accessibility to eye care & improving the livelihood of young women in Africa.

 

Karthik Subbaraman

Associate Partner

Karthik has been working in the healthcare sector for nearly 15 years across different contexts (private and not-for-profit) and different markets (India & Sub-Saharan Africa) and focusing on designing and deploying long-term and multi-stakeholder programs targeted at improving health outcomes for different clinical conditions (ranging from maternal & child health to oncology & mental health).Prior to Human Planet formerly KOIS, Karthik worked at the Center for Public Health & Development (Kenyan-based public health organization); citiesRISE (urban youth-focused mental health platform) and at Philips HealthTech (US, India, and Kenya). In his roles, Karthik has spent a significant amount of time on the ground - gathering clinical insights to co-create, productize, and eventually operationalize complex solutions with the end-customer.

Cédric Joutet

Principal

Cédric has over twelve years of experience in global development, impact finance and policy advisory with international institutions such as the World Bank, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF), French Development Agency and BNP Paribas. Cédric has built a deep understanding of impact measurement and monitoring. Recently, he helped BMGF launch a result-based management initiative to strengthen the monitoring and evaluation tools of the $2.5bn Lives and Livelihoods Fund.Cédric holds a Master’s degree in Finance & Strategy from Sciences Po Paris and a Master’s Degree in Engineering from École Centrale Nantes.

Francesca Pallara

Manager

Francesca has worked with impact investors, non-profits and hybrids, foundations and at Human Planet formally KOIS supports blended finance projects focused on agriculture, waste and health.Prior to Human Planet formally KOIS, Francesca was a risk management consultant at E&Y and an Impact Investment specialist in an Italian impact investing accelerator and venture capital where she helped scout, select, due diligence, analyze and make financial models for startups.She also collaborates with University of Bologna as a researcher on social venture capital and impact investing and publishing, among other studies, an international paper.She holds a master’s degree in Sustainable Finance from the University of Cattolica as well as a BSc in Economics and an MSc in finance at the University of Bologna.

Nicole Jennings

Training Manager

Nicole is the Training Manager for Human Planet formally MzN International and is responsible for the operations of the in-person Training Courses. Nicole has a diverse educational background, holding a Post Graduate Diploma in Sport Management and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology with Honors. She has more than 13 years working in education and training across many different sectors.

As a seasoned Project and Operations Manager, she has worked with international clients and led dynamic project teams. With a proven track record, she has also managed projects for NGOs, showcasing adaptability across diverse sectors. Nicole is passionate about education, training and development. Based in Cape Town, she also enjoys all things outdoors and spending lots of time in nature.

Shriya Bubna

Manager

Shriya has diverse experience in the development sector across roles in public policy consulting, corporate social responsibility, and journalism. During this period, she has worked with impact-focused organizations such as Oxford Policy Management (OPM), Areté Advisors (now acquired by Bain & Company), ICICI Foundation for Inclusive Growth, and World Resources Institute. Prior to joining Human Planet formally Kois Invest, Shriya was the Team Leader for the Social Policy Programme at OPM India, contributing to the strategy and management of projects in thematic areas such as education, skills, social protection and health. She holds an MBA from IIM Ahmedabad and a Masters in Development Economics from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London. Shriya is a heritage junkie who can be spotted conducting heritage walks in Mumbai and is a deep believer in the healing power of chai and books.

Tracy deSouza

Manager

Tracy has over 9 years of experience spanning corporate finance, risk management, and strategy & operations, having worked across start ups, incubators, debt providers, and multinational banks. At Human Planet formally KOIS, Tracy supports the Global CFO while actively contributing to the firm’s advisory and asset management business.Tracy became a CFA charterholder, from the CFA Institute, Virginia, USA in 2018, and she has a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Media (Journalism) from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai.

Renuka Barsila

Senior Analyst

Renuka has worked with multilateral organisations, governments, CSR advisories, donors and non-profits across domains including maternal and child health and nutrition, early childhood education, skilling and empowerment of women self-help groups.

Previously, Renuka worked as a Program Officer at the UNICEF supported think-tank of the Department of Women and Child Development, Government of Maharashtra- the Rajmata Jijau Mother-Child Health and Nutrition Mission. She also worked with Deloitte’s Social Impact team, managing the financial performance of grants valuing over $10mn.

She is a Chartered Accountant and has a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Business Management from the University of Mumbai along with international diplomas in Spanish and French.

Toni-Ann Robinson

Consultant

Toni-Ann is a Consultant with Human Planet formally MzN specialising in organisational & strategy development, monitoring, evaluation & learning, research, data science and project management. She has more than 7 years of experience working with public and private organisations across Latin America, the Caribbean and Europe. She has worked with international donors such as the UNDP, USAID, PAHO, UNICEF, IADB, GIZ among others and is familiar with the inner workings of several of these organisations. Toni-Ann is passionate about incorporating new technological developments in development work and actualising these for positive, sustainable advancement globally. She has a BSc in International Relations and Spanish as well as a MA in International Relations with Development. Based near Stuttgart, Toni-Ann speaks fluent English and Jamaican Patois along with intermediate Spanish and elementary German.

Aditya Andhansare

Analyst

Aditya is a public health professional and has previously worked for the Monitoring and evaluation of public health programs, supported Evaluation capacity-building initiatives, and assisted in forging partnerships for infectious disease-focused start-ups. At Human Planet formally KOIS, Aditya is supporting blended finance projects in healthcare.Before Human Planet formally KOIS, Aditya worked with Sambodhi Research and Communications, an M&E boutique firm in India, managing monitoring and evaluation activities, and supported Tata Trusts’ not-for-profit fund for accelerating biotech solutions targeting infectious diseases.

Marie Pietri

Senior Analyst

Marie holds a master’s degree in Management from ESSEC Business School, with majors in corporate finance, business law and impact investing. She has experience in impact investing through her role as an Analyst at Investir&+, a French VC impact fund, where she helped source new startups, contributed to due diligences and to the writing of investment memos, and represented the fund during major entrepreneurial events. At Human Planet formally KOIS, Marie contributes to the design and structuring of innovative finance products in health, education and environment.

Betigül Onay Özman

Analyst

Betigül Onay Özman is a seasoned civil society professional with extensive experience in CSR (corporate social responsibility) and NGO management. For more than six years, she served as a Senior Program Manager at a foundation in Istanbul, in addition to her role on the foundation’s management board. During this period, she designed and managed significant CSR projects in collaboration with international NGOs such as UN Women, UNDP, and FAO, as well as private sector companies and public authorities. Betigül also managed social projects supported by international organizations, including the Swedish Embassy and the European Union. In her 15 years of experience, she has held various roles, including a variety of communication tasks such as producing communication materials and co-authoring white papers and analytical reports. Betigül was also responsible for managing partnerships and stakeholder relationships. Her accomplishments in civil society work and communications have been recognized with several awards, including the 2021 Golden Spider Best Web Design Award, the 2018 Felis Award for Best Ad Campaign, and the 2012 Grand Prize Golden Compass Award for the Life Plus Youth Program. She holds two master’s degrees, one in economics and another in management. Based in Berlin, she speaks fluent Turkish and English and has intermediate proficiency in German.

Marco Sangiovanni

Analyst

Marco joins Human Planet formally KOIS with a robust background in finance, having graduated from Bocconi University with a Bachelor’s in Economics and Finance and an international Master’s Degree in Business Management from ESCP, through which he had the possibility of studying at the University of Southern California. His studies culminated in a paper on the Next Generation EU and its impact on European fiscal integration. Marco brings valuable experience from investment banking and corporate finance, using his skill set in complex financial environments.

At Human Planet formally KOIS, he is dedicated to helping impactful change through blended finance projects, focusing on humanitarian initiatives. He is passionate about utilising blended finance to mobilise private sector involvement in development goals, believing private market incentives to be crucial for resolving global challenges.

Stephen Rusk

Analyst

Stephen has decades of experience working in a wide range of humanitarian and development scenarios across Africa, Asia, Middle East, and Europe, and has secured funding from an array of institutional donors. He holds an LMM in public international law from the University of London; which provides a guiding perspective when it comes to the development and narration of projects. To improve the prospect of being awarded a grant, he promotes the concept that one must write for the donor evaluator, challenging them with new information, which can only come from engaging with all stakeholders, rather than relying on technical explanations.

Jonathan Clarke

Thought Leadership Coordinator

Jonathan is the Thought Leadership Coordinator at Human Planet formally MzN International, with over three years of experience leading teams in performance marketing, business development, SaaS growth, and content marketing. He has successfully scaled businesses through strategic, data-driven marketing initiatives.Jon has held key roles in AI, Web3, and international trade, including positions at Relayto (USA), Openfabric AI (Romania), and Grobiz (East Africa & India). He also contributed to a 25% revenue increase at W.A.C. Rwanda. Recognised for his leadership, he was nominated for the 2022 Top Under 30 C.E.O. Award (East Africa) and named 2022 Data & Research Professional of the Year by M.A.E. Market (UK).Passionate about social impact, Jon mentors at TechStars Global - Africa and Rwanda ICT Innovation Center. He is proficient in a wide array of marketing and CRM tools like SEO-SEMrush, Clay.com, Apollo, Pipedrive, Hubspot, Salesforce, and AI/ML Chatbot training.

Juliette is focused on digital marketing, web and graphic design. She has over 12+ years of experience in the ever-changing digital world. Juliette's passion is to create beautiful, clear websites and designs for any business. A website and graphic elements is your window to the world. Passionate about anything ocean and for the planet, Juliette lives to make the planet a cleaner and better place. Juliette is currently based in Cape Town.

Kat Pauso

Funding Specialist

Kathryn is Human Planet formally MZN International’s Funding Specialist with a focus on fundraising strategy, lead sourcing, project/ product development, blended finance, and social innovation. She is an Edward S. Mason Fellow in Public Policy and Management and completed her Master in Public Administration from Harvard Kennedy School. Previously managing grant portfolios for Chemonics and DAI, Kathryn has since applied her deep expertise on institutional grantmaking to enhance capacities of non-profits and mission-driven enterprises, significantly expanding their reach and impact. At Human Planet formally MzN International, Kathryn empowers local organizations to secure and manage USAID grants effectively.

Mamtha Gujaran

Office Manager

Mamtha holds a Bachelor’s degree in Arts from Mangalore University in India. She has an overall experience of  27 years as an executive secretary in the pharmaceutical and real estate industry.Mamtha joined Human Planet formally KOIS on 1st July 2022 as Manager-Administration and helps run the  operations.

Ann Lanens

Office Manager

Ann holds a Master in translation from the Hogeschool-Universiteit Brussel. She then developed over 10 years of experience as an Executive Assistant in multinational consulting & law companies. Ann joined Human Planet formally KOIS in 2015 to help run our operations.

Jana Schmidt

Assistant

Since 2019, Jana has been working as an assistant to the management at Human Planet formally MzN International, also providing team and business assistance.
With her years of experience as an assistant in various projects, she helps with all questions and tasks in the administrative and back-office areas and also serves as support for the Managing Director.

Jack Vanhumbeeck

Junior Analyst

At Human Planet formally KOIS Jack focuses on contributing to develop innovative finance instruments to support sustainable services and livelihood opportunities. Prior to joining Human Planet formally KOIS, he gained experience in M&A as an Analyst at Amala Partners, a boutique advisory firm in Paris. There, he worked on financial modelling, due diligence, and preparing investor presentations.

Jack holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Solvay Business School and a Master’s in Management from Nova SBE. His thesis explored the inclusion of people with disabilities in the job market, reflecting his strong interest in social impact and inclusive development.
