Grant budgets are tightening while private, philanthropic and climate capital is growing. Most impact organisations sit between the two, with a proven model on one side and the language of investors on the other. This free series shows how NGOs, social enterprises and impact ventures are raising capital in 2026, moving from a shrinking grant base towards innovative and climate finance.

Across three sessions we move from the shifting aid landscape, to the instruments reshaping how impact is funded, to the practical work that makes a project investable. Each session pairs our own practitioners with active investors and organisations that have raised capital through Human Planet, so you hear how this works in practice, not just in theory.

Session 1 · 19 August 2026 · Fundraising in a Shifting Aid Landscape
As grant funding tightens, we tackle the question facing every impact organisation: where the next capital comes from. Previous Human Planet clients who have raised funds through impact bonds and blended finance join active investors who share what they look for in a project.

Session 2 · 20 August 2026 · Unlocking Innovative & Climate Finance
A closer look at the instruments changing how impact is funded, now extended to climate and carbon finance. We explain impact bonds, blended finance, outcomes based finance and the voluntary carbon market in plain terms, with real examples from our portfolio, and set out what quality means in the carbon market: additionality, permanence and measurement.

Session 3 · 21 August 2026 · From Impact to Investment: Building a Bankable, Climate-Ready Project
The foundational work that makes a project attractive to investors: a credible theory of change, impact measurement and financial structuring, with an added lens on climate and carbon readiness. Accelerator alumni share how they moved from concept to investment readiness, and you can self assess your own project as we go.

Who it is for
NGOs, social enterprises, foundations and impact ventures, and the founders, directors and fundraising leads who carry the work. Investors interested in a pipeline of impact and climate ready ventures are welcome too.

Each session runs for around 60 minutes and ends with a live Q&A with our team and guests.
